TRB invites you to participate in the Careers in Motion Networking Fair, Sunday, January 12, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., during the 2020 TRB Annual Meeting. Meet and network with dozens of prospective employers from a wide range of multimodal transportation-related disciplines. Get your resume reviewed and critiqued by human resource specialists at the Resume Review table. And attend these professional development sessions: Making your LinkedIn Profile Stand Out Get some tips for creating a LinkedIn profile that will attract recruiters and encourage professional contacts (10:10 a.m.–10:40 a.m.) Writing an Effective Cover Letter and Resume Hear how to craft your resume and cover letter to land the interview. (11:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.) Preparing for your Job Interview Learn research and other strategies necessary to be well-prepared for that interview. (11:50 a.m.– 12:20 p.m.) Tools for Evaluating the Job Offer Now that you’ve got the offer (or maybe more than one!), learn how to compare and evaluate the entire compensation package (12:40 p.m.–1:10 p.m.) All TRB Annual Meeting registrants are welcome to attend the fair, whether they are recent graduates, seasoned executives, or at any other level in their careers. There is no additional charge for participation. If you are not otherwise registered for the TRB Annual Meeting, you can purchase a $50 one-day “Sunday Expo-Only” registration*, which provides access to the Career Fair (10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.); the Welcome and Attendee Orientation Session (2:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.), where you can get helpful information about how to become involved in TRB committee activities; and the Exhibit Hall Opening and Reception (4:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.), which features a variety of multimodal transportation-related products and services. Sunday Expo-Only registration can be purchased onsite at the Expo-Only registration desk; it is not available in advance of the meeting. The fair is held in cooperation with: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials; Airport Minority Advisory Council; American Public Transportation Association; Council of Minority Transportation Officials; Council of University Transportation Centers; Eno Center for Transportation; Mobility Lab; National Operations Center of Excellence; Women’s Transportation Seminar; and Young Professionals in Transportation.
