NC Health Rex Acute Care Meet & Greet- Experienced Registered Nurses and Nursing Assistants! March 28, 2023 from 10:30am-1:00pm UNC Health Rex in Raleigh is looking for CNAs and Experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in Acute Care! Join us at this Meet & Greet event to learn more about working in this amazing department (light snacks/beverages provided), meet with Hiring Managers, and tour the units! Incentives available! · Experienced RNs: up to $20,000 commitment incentive or up to $25,000 in loan forgiveness as well as up to $10,000 in relocation assistance · CNAs: up to $5,000 commitment incentive We are looking for Experienced RNs/CNAs to join our team in the following Acute Care units: 3 East Acute Care Short Stay: 3 East Medical Short Stay is a 28 bed unit created to help facilitate throughput for the UNC REX Emergency Department. Our patients are admitted with a wide variety of medical diagnoses including but not limited to TIA, falls, syncope, nausea and vomiting, cellulitis, anemia and flu. Patients admitted to 3 East should be medically stable for discharge within 24 to 72 hours from admission. Our attending providers are within the UNC REX Hospitalist group. Our team provides holistic, collaborative, patient-centered care. The staff on 3 East is dedicated not only to exceptional patient care but to the care of one another. Being observant of co-workers and stepping in when needed reflects our focus on teamwork and supporting each other. 3 East Leadership and the entire UNC REX Healthcare team supports a positive environment with professional growth opportunities to advance up the clinical ladder. 3 West Acute Care General Medicine: 3 West is a 31 bed, general medicine unit. We care for a variety of medical patients with diagnoses that include COPD, diabetes, pneumonia, renal failure, minor neurological disorders, behavioral health, as well as many others. We are that team who can develop young minds and provide a supportive, mentoring atmosphere. . We offer online self-scheduling, exceptional night and weekend shift differentials, and co-worker input on holiday rotations. We support education and work hard to be flexible for those co-workers in school. Several of our bedside staff are masters prepared and 30% are Med/Surg certified nurses. We have several trained preceptors who enjoy guiding co-workers through the learning process, helping to identify progress goals as well as adapting orientation to fit the experience and needs of their trainee. 4 East Medical Stepdown: 4 East is a 31 bed pulmonary and nephrology intermediate care unit. Nurses on this fast-paced unit care for patients with lung, kidney and heart related illness or diagnoses. Nurses monitor and manage patients with ventilators, peritoneal dialysis, arrhythmias and cardiac drips. We provide an exceptional level of care, continuously utilizing critical thinking and a wide range of clinical skills for patients with multiple comorbidities. We are a strong team that works hard and places high importance on providing the best in care and top patient satisfaction results. 4 West Medical Surgical Progressive Care: 4 west is a fast paced intermediate and acute care unit consisting of post-operative thoracic patients and neuroscience step down patients. Our thoracic surgical patients are on the evidence based ERAS pathway and are up moving quickly, treated with multi modal pain control, and length of stay is between 3-4 days. We are also caring for overflow cardiac patients utilizing cardiac drips for rate control, multiple therapies for congestive heart failure, treating unstable angina and a variety of cardiac diagnosis. Post cardiac catheterization if TR Band is in place. In addition to our intermediate patient population, we care for a variety of medical patients with diagnoses that can include, but not limited to COPD, diabetes, pneumonia, and renal failure. We are a dynamic team that works well together and searching for likeminded individuals. 5 East Acute Care Oncology: 5 East is a 31 bed Medical/Oncology Unit primarily caring for oncology patients at any point on the cancer continuum, from diagnosis through end of life support. Other diagnoses treated include benign hematology and general medicine patients. We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes Oncologists, Advance Practice Providers and Palliative Care Providers. Our nurses are certified in providing Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy, as well as holding professional certifications in Oncology and/or General Medicine. On 5 East we focus on the resiliency of both our patients and our nursing staff by providing a supportive, nurturing environment. 5 West Acute Care Neuroscience: 5 West is a 30 bed neuroscience unit including a 4 bed step-down unit. Our patient population is neurological disorders and medical-surgical patients. 5 West demonstrates great team work by using a Buddy System and self-scheduling with a holiday tract. 5 West encourages professional growth by assisting with certifications and educational courses. Our team played an essential role in UNC REX recently receiving Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission. How do I Participate?
