PBS SoCal and Firelight Media present a special screening of BOSS: The Black Experience in Business-a new PBS documentary fromPeabody and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker, Stanley Nelson. Learn about the untold story of African American entrepreneurship, where skill, industriousness, ingenuity and sheer courage in the face of overwhelming odds provide the backbone of this nations economic and social growth. 6:30 p.m. Reception/Resource Fair 7:30 p.m. Screening and Discussion 8:45 p.m. Resource Fair continues Join us for a preview of the film, followed by a panel discussion with local black business leaders: Charisse Bremond Weaver, President & CEO, Brotherhood Crusade Traci Curry, Producer, BOSS: The Black Experience in Business Virgil Roberts, Co-founder, African American Board Leadership Institute; Managing partner and founder, Bobbitt & Roberts law firm Moderated by Bonnie Boswell Hamilton, producer and host of Bonnie Boswell Reports, PBS SoCal Come early at 6:30 p.m. for a reception and resource fair! Meet and network with organizations specializing in professional and business development. **Please note, this event will be overbooked to ensure capacity.
