Event Description

By 2019, social media marketing is expected to account for almost a fourth of corporate marketing budgets. With this in mind, CADMA - Center for Advancement of Digital Marketing & Analytics will challenge undergraduate students to solve areal-world problem using current social media marketing tools. The competition will present students with the opportunity to showcase their critical thinking skills in the fast-paced, real-time world of social media in strategic social media campaign creation and problem-solving. Students: Teams need to consist of four undergraduate students and one faculty advisor. Sign your team up via Eventbrite. Email CADMA@bsu.edu with any questions. You will receive a follow-up email with event details. The Competition Preliminary round Video submissions will be judged in a double-blind format 12 winners selected, semi-final round Winners from first round will compete at Ball State's LA Pittenger Student Center Final Round Top four teams will present to a panel of judges, live-streamed to all business sponsors The Case The case is the first step in the competition. Each school will create a social media campaign based on the problem in the case study. A 10-minute maximum video presentation and PowerPoint of the solutions to the case will need to be submitted back to Ball State, date TBA. This event is all-inclusive minus travel. With this being said, coaches and student competitors have preassigned rooms at a local hotel in Muncie. Hotel information will be provided closer to the event. The following meals will also be provided to you during your visit to Ball State: 1 breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Travel accommodations are the responsibility of the school attending. Aside from the competition, a career fair will take place for contestants. Companies in attendance will be looking for bright students to work for their organizations. These companies will not only get to meet you at the career fair but will also be the ones judging and providing feedback on your performance.
