Event Description

Having trouble finding a career that you enjoy and that also meets your familys needs? Plan to join Action for Children for our first annualJob Fair and Legal Clinic onThursday, May 3rd from 4 7 PM. Attendees are asked to bring two (2) pieces of identification, including a government-issued ID. In addition, all candidates should bring updated copies of their resume for full consideration by several employers who will be on-site. Schedule of Activities: 4 5 PM: Learn Conflict Resolution techniques to use in the work place with AFC's Job Developer, Betty Howton 5 7 PM:Get a 5 -10 minute personal consultation with Attorney Mindy Yocum who can answer legal questions related to employment, CQE's, record sealing, and barriers to employment including driver's license suspensions and child support issues. If you have questions about a specific case, make sure to bring any documents that you may have received! 4 7 PM: Speak with your next potential employer! Please dress to impress and register in advance! Event FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? AFC is accessible from both the Broad St and Long St COTA bus lines. Limited free permit parking is available at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Long Street. You can print a permit in advance here, or pick one up at the registration table the day of the event. City of Columbus, meter parking also available along Jefferson Avenue (dont forget to pay your meter!). What should I bring into the event?
