The Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation (ICRF), through Build Your Future Indiana, is excited an proud to be hosting a career fair on May 14th, from 10am-2pm, at First Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
In the modern Hoosier economy, middle-skill occupations make up the majority of workers and vacant positions. Hoosiers need to be exposed to these opportunities, and we need more and more of them entering into the skilled labor pool every day to keep our economy running efficiently.
The ICR Foundation is working with the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce, First Baptist Church, the Grindery, and other partners in industry, education, and government, to expose underemployed and unemployed adult populations to the opportunities available in construction. We will be hosting an Adult Career Fair, on May 14, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Indianapolis, from 10am-2pm, in order to help these individuals find living-wage careers. We enthusiastically invite your company to attend.
We have allied with local and regional community organizations to help ensure that we can provide the highest quality candidates possible for your positions. If your company is hiring full-time workers with an annual salary over $27,000, I enthusiastically invite you to attend. This will be a great opportunity to have direct face-to-face communication with potential employees. So far, through our three events in Marion County, over 50% of the individuals who walked in the door left with careers in the construction industry, and many of them are still employed today. Our last fair in March of 2018 saw 270 job seekers in attendance.
The ICRFs goal with this effort in Indianapolis is to continue with this record of success, and maximize the return for your investment of time.
Employer set up will begin at 9am, with the floor open to job seekers from 10am-2pm.
If you have any questions, contact ICRF Director of Workforce Partnerships, Mike Thibideau, at Mike@indianaconstruction.org, or 317-805-1037.
