Positions available: Distribution Center: Shipping, Receivers & Processor ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Obtain unloading documents for the merchandise. Locate merchandise on the receiving dock. Verify the P.O. number and number of cartons and pallets against the checking document. If errors are noted, contact lead or supervisor. Once information is verified as correct, proceed with the next step. Calculate the percent of cartons to verify in each order based on merchandise type. Open the required number of cartons in accordance with determined calculations. Inspect the contents of each carton to ensure all merchandise meets inspection criteria (counts, tickets, a region of origin tags, etc.).If merchandise meets inspection criteria, sign and date unloading document and place with the pallet. If any inspected merchandise does not meet inspection criteria, note variance on unloading document and forward the document to the merchandise liaison. Fill out problem tag and place with pallets. Clean the area around the assigned workstation, including returning all the materials to their original locations. NONESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May be required to perform other processing functions or to move to other departments to work, based on business needs. Must be able to use stairs to complete essential functions where the department is located. Must have sufficient hand and arm usage to successfully perform essential job functions. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting. Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements. A desire for career advancement in the organization. Accurately complete simple math tasks such as counting and adding. Must be able to use assigned equipment and tools to complete job responsibilities.
