The MPS Student Job Fair is an opportunity for employers to connect with MPS students, age 16 or older, for summer or part time employment, as well as pre-college programs. Attending students will have participated in a Work Readiness Session where they practiced professional handshakes discussed appropriate attire and body language, delivered 30-second elevator pitches about themselves to corporate and community volunteers, and participated in speed dating style mock interviews. Students are eager to put the skills they have learned to use at this event! Access for employer/organization set up will begin at 8:00 a.m. Please be ready for students at 9:30 a.m. FAQs What are my parking options the event? One free parking spot is available for each employer/organization. Please enter the UW-Milwaukee Union parking garage off Kenwood Blvd, just east of the Union, and take a ticket. You will receive a voucher to use as payment at the conclusion of the event. Street parking in also available in the area but is metered and is not ideal for the whole day. What can I bring into the event? You will have a six foot table and two chairs.Bring any equipment or materials that will allow students to get a better idea of what the employment or program will be like. Hands on materials or samples are also fantastic. Paper applications or instructions for next stepts for students will be well received. Will any food or drink be available? We will have coffee, water and a light lunch available for up to two representatives from your organization. There is also a large food court in the building. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, you do not need to bring a printed ticket to the event. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, your registration extends to your organization. Please be sure to register for the correct number of individuals in your party. How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
